As Resident Engineer, oversaw all construction activities on a bridge deck replacement project and new retaining wall project. As Environmental Inspector, achieved all contract requirements for federal and state environmental regulations on bridge and roadway projects. Coordinated and built relationships with federal and state regulators and contractor personnel. Project contract amounts ranged between $23M and $45M.
As Senior Inspector, tracked budget, cost and schedule data on large, time sensitive airport, highway and bridge projects resulting in no delay claims against our client. Initiated and developed budget changes, including value engineering, to reduce construction costs saving the client $250,000. Inspected various construction activities and materials for quality assurance and compliance to project plans and specifications. Resolved conflicts with contractor regarding schedule and quality issues. Project contract amounts ranged between $2M and $75M.

Successfully negotiated both the purchase and sale of a small business and the accompanying real estate. Arranged debt and equity financing for the business transactions. Responsible for all business, financial and physical plant issues for a 10 bed assisted living home. Supervised staff of 10 employees and a manager. Developed and implemented our marketing plan, which increased occupancy from 67% to 98%. Developed and implemented critical repair and upgrade projects for the building and grounds. Established relationships with vendors & suppliers. Efforts resulted in a five consecutive record years for the business, including revenue increasing 62%, returning the company to profitability and return of capital for investors while the business under our management.

Developed and completed conceptual testing for Soup Daddy’s, an at-home food service provider. Process of proof of concept and financial analysis determined to suspend the project.
