I have been working with the United States armed forces and USAID in Afghanistan providing civil engineering design services for the last 7 years. I have worked both on-site and in an office as a civil engineer and I have experience working on a variety of water, wastewater, and storm water systems projects.

I have worked as a design team member on multi-million-dollar projects at different Afghan Military bases as a U.S Army Corps of Engineering (USACE) contractor. All of my design work was completed in English. I have experience working with large design and design-build firms across the country on rural development projects, airports (military and civilian), as well as Afghan Army Bases.

During my assignments, I completed preliminary pipe network layouts, calculations, construction documents, and project cost estimations, as well as reviewing sub-contractor design documents.

During the last three years of employment I worked directly under the supervision of a U.S Project Engineer on a regular 6 day/week schedule, plus frequent overtime. My duties included Designing of storm, wastewater and water supply Systems, Quality Assurance, site assessment for Master Site Utility Plan and Utility Capacity Study, Feasibility Study, and Facility Design for Afghan National Security Forces. All of the projects that I worked on were built for the Afghan National Army under the oversight of a variety of military institutions including the USACE, NATO, USAID, NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan, Combined Security Transition Command- Afghanistan, Resolute Support-Capital, Combined Joint Engineering Directorate, Air Force Center for Engineering and Environment, and Air Force Civil Engineering Center.
